On the 200km long Algarve coast with lovely beaches, the sun shines aprox. 3,000 hours a year, with temperatures from 30 degrees in summer time down to 15 degrees during winter.
No other region in Portugal has so many and so varied beaches with from the West Algarve's wild, golden cliffs with small secret bays up to the East with long, beautiful sandy beaches. You can enyoy beaches with lots of activity but when you want to relax there are many without a living soul.
